Bachata is a Latin inspired social dance which is characterized by a shuffle accented with a foot tap, leg motion, or trademark hip “pop” on the fourth beat. It

originated in the Dominican Republic. Today, bachata is danced alongside salsa and merengue in Latin dance clubs around the world.
